As part of the Wilmington Trust Emerald Family Office & Advisory® team, Alexa helps individuals and families identify their philanthropic goals and develop an impactful, values-based strategic giving program. She facilitates workshops that utilize philanthropy to help educate and engage multi-generations. Alexa also assists family foundations and small nonprofits in board training, governance, and succession planning.
Alexa holds a master’s degree in financial services from The American College of Financial Services, a master’s degree in organizational science and management from The George Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is also a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP ®). Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Alexa spent 15 years in the nonprofit sector, serving as the executive director of an international public charity, and the vice president at a private family foundation, responsible for overseeing strategic gift planning and distribution.
Alexa completed the New Leaders Council fellowship in 2017 and serves her community through volunteering and holding board positions with nonprofits that focus on animal welfare, the environment, and socioeconomic justice.
